Texas Rocks for the Coral Reefs!
Rahr Brewery in Ft. Worth opened it's doors on August 23 as Texas joined the Reef Fest family with a raucous night of indie rock, eclectic acoustic folk funk and progressive rock. Local organizers, researchers from the University of Texas at Arlington Department of Biology, hailed the evening as a great success with money and awareness being raised for the world's coral reefs.
Principal organizer, Laura R. Hunt, reflected after, "During the event we had a number of people ask if they could host their own event, or they asked when the next Reef Fest would be!"
Reef Fest thanks all that attended and a special thanks to Laura and her team of dedicated volunteers who made coral reefs a priority in Ft. Worth, Texas!
